Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new BML Customer service Center at the Male’ Square Flat building, the CEO of BML, Mr. Andrew Healy stated that over 4 million transactions was carried out last year via the BML Mobile application, Internet Banking portal and Self Service ATM’s.
Mr. Andrew went on to say that out of each 10 transactions that the Bank currently does, 9 of them are ones carried out via Mobile or Internet banking. Due to utilizing such online mediums, the bank has been able to provide a more customer friendly, quality and easier service which has greatly eased the burdens that the customers of the Bank had previously experienced.
With it being more than 2 years since the BML Mobile application was launched in July of 2015, “Mobile Pay” which is utilizing your phone as a payment source was launched in July of last year. In conjecture with this BML has redesigned and launched their Internet Banking platform, July of this year. The Bank is reported to be currently conducting an expansive project worth 300 million MVR in the Maldives
