President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom said that every child is an important asset to the Maldivian economy.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony for 414 students under the Government’s project to train 1000 photographers, President Yameen mentioned that his administration will provide the youth and young adults of the Maldivian community with opportunities to excel and achieve their dreams.
He highlighted that not every child has the capacity to achieve educational excellence and that this must not become an obstacle in achieving their dreams. President Yameen also stressed that gender stereotyping and peer pressure should not discourage any individual and that courage and determination is the key to success.

President Yameen said referring to the importance of working towards being a self-sufficient individual.
In his address, President Yameen directed words of praise and gratitude towards the Education Ministry and the Economic Ministry for their continuous efforts to empower the youth community of Maldives.
Cabinet Ministers including Education Minister, Aishath Shiham and Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed also spoke at this function held for the graduation of 414 photographers. Various other high-level Government officials also took part in this special event.
