The Governments of Maldives and United Arab Emirates have signed four crucial agreements today.
At a special ceremony held at the Ruler’s Court, Dubai this afternoon, members of the Maldivian delegation signed the agreements with UAE officials.
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed today’s signing ceremony.
The agreements signed today are;
- Agreement between the Government of Maldives and the Government of United Arab Emirates for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and Capital
- MoU between the Government of Maldives and the Government of United Arab Emirates on Mutual Exemption of Entry Visas for holders of Diplomatic Passports
- Agreement between the Government of Maldives and the Government of United Arab Emirates on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments
- Loan Agreement between the Government of Maldives and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to Finance Ibrahim Nasir International Airport Project
These agreements will serve as yet another boost in the developmental process of Maldives under President Yameen’s Administration
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom and First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim, along with the Maldivian delegation will hold meeting and discussions with several high-level officials of the Government of UAE and Dubai.
