Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has stated that Malaysia and Maldives will increase cooperation in various fields during his two-day visit in Maldives.
After arriving at Maldives today, Prime Minister Najib tweeted that he just arrived for his official visit to the Maldives and will Insha-Allah, increase cooperation in various fields including health, tourism and higher education.
According to the President’s Office, number of memorandums of understanding will be signed and the existing ties and development partnership between the two countries will be enhanced during this visit.
This is the first time Malaysian Prime Minister Najib is visiting the Maldives. The last time a Malaysian Prime Minister paid a visit to Maldives was when former PM Mahathir Mohamad visited in 1984.
